Only Murders in the Psych Building

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is sponsoring an event through their Forensic Science/Psych program and is encouraging HVCC students to register and attend.  THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS, not just criminal justice, forensic and psych students.

Collaborate with faculty, students and outside experts (scientists, psychologists, detectives, lawyers and judges) to solve a forensic scenario and dive deeply into criminal psychology, investigations, toxicology, genetic genealogy, law and public health.

This program/event will allow students to work, collaborate, and compete as a team to solve a “real-life” mock problem-crime-scenario and dive deeply into understanding and subsequent action with “patient” interviews, exploration of legal frameworks, assembly of scientific data, development of expert analysis, forensic investigations, and useful conclusions, in order to respond to and/or prevent the mock crime and explore the best ways to best handle a difficult and complex scenario using a variety of skills — science, advocacy, problem solving, collaboration, leadership, and communication, and many others.

This event takes place on Friday, April 25 from 9:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. on the ACPHS campus in Albany.  For more information, visit the event page or take a look at this flyer; registration is available here.
